New Ventures Maine presents “Work For Yourself At 50 Plus” workshop at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring Street, on Thursday, September 27th from 10a-noon.  The AARP Foundation workshop is free to the public.  To register, call 557-1885.

Concert artist and teacher George Sebastian Lopez will open the 2018-2019 Piano Series season at the Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar Street in Lewiston.  It’s happening Friday, September 28th at 7p, featuring the works by Clara and Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms.  Admission is $15, free to students.  For more information, call 783-1585 Monday thru Friday from noon to 4p.

“Knitting Knights” will be held every other Wednesday from 5-6:30p in the Jeanne Couture Room at the Lewiston Public Library on 200 Lisbon Street.  All ages and skill levels are welcome, and no registration is required.  Library staff will be available to teach new knitters.  Bottled water and hot tea will be provided, and some supplies are available for beginners.  For more information, call 513-3135.
