5 of Maine’s funniest comedians will perform “A Night of Stand-up Comedy” on Friday, November 15th at 7:30p at the Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar Street in Lewiston.  Admission is $10.  For more information, call 783-1585.

Author Anne Williams will be talking about her book, “Jigsaw Puzzles: A Brief History and Their Place in Maine” on Thursday, November 14 th at 6pm in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon Street. It’s open and free to the public.

The Theatre Project, 14 School Street in Brunswick presents the comedy “Middletown” going on now thru November 17th from Thursday through Saturday at 7:30p & Sundays at 2p.  Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students & $10 for children.  For Tickets and more information, call 729-8584.

The Great Falls Forum features author Sarah Perry on Thursday, November 21st in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon Street from noon-1p.  Sarah’s talk is entitled “After the Eclipse: Grief, the Law, and the Making of a Memoir.”  It’s open and free to the public. 

On Thursday, November 21st the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring Street, presents Stephen Collins in a one-man performance, featuring classic songs & plays from the golden age of the American theatre, starting at 6:30p.  Free and open to the public.

The Gendron Franco Center & the Community Little Theatre presents, “Come Out Swingin”, the story about the 1965 heavyweight title fight between Muhammad Ali & Sonny Liston held in Lewiston, Maine.  The performances will be held Friday & Saturday, November 22nd & 23rd at 7:30p & Sunday, November 24th at 2p at the Franco Center, 46 Cedar Street in Lewiston.  Tickets are available online at francocenter.org.  For more information, call 689-2000. 

A Bean Supper will be held Saturday, November 23rd from 5-6p at the Lisbon United Methodist Church on 14 School St. in Lisbon Falls. There will be homemade baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, ham, hot dogs, pies and more. Cost: $8 for adults, $3 for children and free for children 5 and under.

There will be wreath-making classes at the Lisbon Parks & Recreation Department on 18 School Street in Lisbon Falls Sunday, November 24th at Noon & Monday thru Tuesday, November 25th & December 2nd & 3rd at 6p.  The Rec department will supply the greenery, pinecones & other decorations to complete the wreaths.  Registration fee is $15.  To register and for more information, call 353-2289.

The Auburn Food Pantry is seeking donations of children’s books.  Please drop off books at the United Methodist Church on 439 Park Avenue in Auburn.  For more information, call 782-3972.
