Stop by the Lisbon United Methodist Church this Moxie weekend for treats and treasures.  Beat the Saturday rush and pick up lobster & crabmeat rolls on Friday, July 12th at the church on 14 School Street in Lisbon Falls from 6-7pm.  Saturday, July 13th after the Moxie Festival Parade there will be lobster & crabmeat rolls, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, cold drinks, desserts and a huge trash & treasure sale at the church.  Their lobster & crabmeat rolls are also available at the festival on Main Street.

The Chocolate Arts Center kicks off their weekly summer concerts on Saturdays.  It begins July 13th at 6p with “Crystal Vision” performing the music of Fleetwood Mac at Waterfront Park, 61 Commercial Street in Bath.  Free to the public.

Wildlife rehabilitator Josh Sparks will be in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon Street with live animals and their stories.  Join him Saturday, July 13th at 11am.  Get your free tickets at the Children’s Desk.  For more information, call 513-3133.

“Blackjack 5k Run-Walk” begins 6p on Thursday, July 18th at Oak Hill Middle School, 40 Ball Park Road in Sabattus.  Registration starts at 5pm.  Cost: $5.

Local comedians will be performing on stage Friday, July 26th at 8p at the Norway Savings Bank Arena, 985 Turner Street in Auburn to benefit Make-A-Wish Maine.  Admission is $25.

A Bean Supper will be held Saturday, July 27th from 5-6p at the Lisbon United Methodist Church on 14 School St. in Lisbon Falls. There will be homemade baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, ham, hot dogs, pies and more. Cost: $8 for adults, $3 for children and free for children 5 and under.

The Lewiston Farmers’ Market is open for the summer every Sunday from 10a-2p in the Municipal Parking Lot on the corner of Lincoln & Main Streets in Lewiston.  There will be many local vendors selling farm fresh vegetables, fruits, grass fed meats & more.  And there will be family-friendly activities for all.  For more information, call 513-3848.

“Knitting Knights” will be held every other Wednesday from 5-6:30p in the Jeanne Couture Room at the Lewiston Public Library on 200 Lisbon Street.  All ages and skill levels are welcome, and no registration is required.  Library staff will be available to teach new knitters.  Bottled water and hot tea will be provided, and some supplies are available for beginners.
