12 local comics have been chosen to compete in Central Maine's Comedy Invitational on Friday, March 24 at 7:30 pm at L/A’s Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar Street in Lewiston. Doors and bar opens at 6:30 pm. The grand prize of $250 will go to Central Maine’s Funniest Comedian. Admission is $5 at the door. For more information, call 783-1585 from Noon-4 pm.
The Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries will host their 6th annual Teen Opportunities Fair on Saturday, March 25 from 11 am - 1 pm at the Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall, 200 Lisbon Street. Participants will be able to talk with area agencies regarding details on the services and opportunities that they provide for teenagers. Colleges and financial institutions will be available to discuss funding for college and available majors. Businesses and organizations will be on hand to discuss what employers are looking for in new hires, and the event will offer the opportunity to apply for jobs, internships, and volunteer experiences. Mitch Thomas, executive director at the Gendron Franco Center, and Bert Dutil, bus trip leader, will be leading a group on a maple sugar day-trip to Québec on Saturday, April 1. Vacationland RV & Camping Show is happening Saturday, April 8 from 9 am - 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 9 from 9 am - 4 pm at the Norway Savings Bank Arena on 985 Turner Street in Auburn. The event features the latest RV models & camping options of all sizes as well as the latest camping equipment. Admission is $8, it’s free for kids 8 and under.

Seniors Plus in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association have monthly support group meetings, designed to provide emotional, educational, and social support for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s Disease or another form of dementia.
